My Story
What you should know about me is that this is not a mission for me, it’s a journey. A journey to destroy my own negative thoughts and self-talk. But I am not on this ship alone. You too, are on this fantastic “journey of audacity” to genuinely love your authentic self… one that starts with WHO and WHAT you see when looking in the mirror. This should never be determined by the outer reflection, because our inner qualities are what represent the TRUE image. I want you to know, better yet, I want you to LOVE that you are beautiful, powerful, and unique! Loving who we are inwardly, completely changes how we see ourselves outwardly. It causes us to be kinder to ourselves, to speak positively and to treat ourselves with worthiness and respect. I call it a journey because I have noticed that the evolution of self-love and acceptance never ends; instead it spills over to all areas of my life. Also, through everyone I connect with personally, I continue to discover that we are all navigating life with an intense desire to obtain and maintain what I call “TRUTHSOMENESS”…the quality of having reverential respect for our own facts and reality.
I want you to speak to the greatness on the inside of you, be confident in your skin and most importantly, I want you to SEE ThrYOU!

Our Story
See ThrYou (pronounced See Through) was established after I participated in a local community DIY woodcrafting class. I came up with the idea to make my daughter a mirror as a gift. For several years now, I have been intentional about speaking positively to myself and about myself. This is a daily practice that greatly changed my life and mindset. This along with the love of my new found hobby at at the time, triggered the idea of making a mirror for my daughter as a gift. The mirror was to express to her what I see in her and to hopefully encourage her to focus more on those positive qualities. I wanted it to be unique but also something that she would actually use, love and could relate to. Which is how the natural hair/afro concept came to be.
Oh, believe me, there were several ideations and “do overs” in the beginning. However, I realized while designing the concept, there was nothing similar to this item that I was able to find already being sold. I still was not looking at this from a business perspective, I just wanted the gift to be thoughtful. Well, needless to say, I made it. My daughter loved it! I then decided to make more and give them as gifts to my sister and some of my close female friends. They loved them as well! They posted about them on social media and shared pictures with others. Shortly after is when the steady requests began. I quickly realized that having the mirror as a visual reminder really helped people to embrace and receive the words as truth.
I am grateful that this business journey now allows me a platform to share the power of positive thoughts, self-love and acceptance with others. See ThrYOU is so much more than a product line. I consider the affirmation mirrors to be mental lifting, mind-shifting gifts. All of the items are thoughtfully created and inspired by my personal self-love journey and others close to me.
